How to Gain
Swimming Proficiency

At SOL Waves we will assist you in gaining your swimming proficiency where safety and rescue operations are required.

• Identify areas of improvement e.g. stroke technique, endurance, breathing or speed.
• Master strokes such as freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and treading water.
• Work on efficient breathing, smooth strokes to reduce fatigue.
• Encourage training to boost stamina and speed.
• Rescue techniques - Towing, approach strokes and victim handling.
• Underwater navigation – for diving and marine work.
• Survival Swimming – Swimming with gear or in rough conditions.
• To be able to swim 25 metres unaided.
